This year’s school will be hosted by Cherry Creek Ranch, located north of Terry, MT. The hosts, Lon and Vicki Reukauf, will present on a wide range of subjects which are likely impacting your customers. Expect to learn about grazing land economics in terms of true costs of heavier weaning weights, benefits of strategic winter feeding, cattle longevity, rotational grazing, GAP4 all-natural beef opportunities, and commodity marketing. Additional topics include environmental issues and bringing the next generation into an operation. There will also be the regular annual learning topics of plant ID, range site ID, ranch tour and much more.
Lon and Vicki operate on roughly 25,000 acres and were the 2016 NCBA Region 5 Environmental Stewardship winners.
