Once monthly, usually the first Thursday of each month, the Billings Farm & Ranch Brokers meet to network, hear presentations on topics relevant to the rural Montana land market, and to share new listings as well as to discuss properties brokers are looking for on behalf of buyers. The group is made up of land brokers, agents, appraisers, lenders, and other rural real estate professionals.
This month, Shane Flowers will be our speaker. Shane and his wife Tanya own Ranch House Meats and S & T Project Meats, and have recently purchased Quality Meats of Miles City. They will rename the Miles City business Pure Montana Meats. While their Shepherd plant is a state inspected facility, the Flowers are working on meeting federal requirements at that plant and making it a USDA inspected facility, as well, which will enable them to broaden their marketing area in addition to opening up more processing opportunities for local meat producers.
Visitors are always welcome to the meetings.
The meeting will be taking place in-person, with adherence to social distancing guidelines, as well as via Zoom.
