The American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers (ASFMRA) is the largest and most trusted professional organization of rural property experts in the United States. For 2020, the Society has announced that the Montana Chapter of the ASFMRA has received Patron Chapter Status.
Patron Chapters of ASFMRA have actively contributed to ASFMRA, and have demonstrated growth in membership. This recognition of the Montana Chapter is significant, as the Society is not well-known in Montana, and the Montana Chapter is small relative to other state chapters.
The recognition is largely due to the Chapter's development of the annual Montana rural real estate education and networking event, which combines an annual expert land market summary with continuing education and networking for rural real estate professionals, in particular appraisers, brokers and agents. The 1st Annual Winter Real Estate Roundup in January of 2020 was a large success, and one the Chapter hopes to build on. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, the status of an event in 2021 is uncertain. Regardless, the Montana Chapter plans to continue to develop and grow this event, and to support rural real estate industry professionals in Montana.
