The Montana Land Report highlights all the activity over the past week, as well as news and events related to the Montana land market.
This past week we had 28 property updates:
• 7 new listings
• 8 pending sales
• 6 price changes, and
• 7 sales
The number of price changes is on the high side this week. Presumably, people are adjusting their prices, lowering their prices as we head into the end of the year, and the end of the selling season to get those properties sold.
In weeks past, we talked about much of the activity being on the smaller acreage side, but two of the sales this week are quite large. The Montana Grass Ranch in eastern Montana, listed by Scott Western Realty, 22,000 acres sold this week. As well as the Miller Ranch listed by Hall and Hall in the Anaconda area. So two large sale transactions this week.
In news, at Montana Land Source we've added some new search functionality to our website. Our homepage has a new interface for search, as well as we have a search page with more elaborate criteria for searching. So check that out. We've got more things that you can search properties by. We're excited and happy about that.
Also, the new episode eight of the Ranch Investors podcast is out. This week, it's just myself and Colter DeVries talking about land values and land pricing.
