A New Website for Montana Land Source — Target Launch Date May 27th
The site you know, rebuilt from the ground up.
After more than a year of development, the next generation of Montana Land Source is planned to go live on May 27th, 2026. On the surface, you’ll find the same trusted resource you’ve come to rely on — the same look, the same workflows, the same comprehensive coverage of the Montana land market. Under the hood, however, almost everything has changed.
We’ve rebuilt the entire backend tech stack from the ground up — a sophisticated, interconnected platform that includes multiple databases, GIS infrastructure, listings management, market analytics, and e-commerce. Our website platform has been modernized to deliver greater usability, and a stronger foundation for the features we’re building next.
What’s changing for you
For the vast majority of your day-to-day use, the new site will look and feel familiar. Two areas, however, are getting a substantial upgrade:
1. A new interactive map
The flagship Montana Land Source interactive map has been completely redesigned on updated technology, with a focus on greater functionality and value to our users. Highlights include:
- Vastly improved property searching - with immediate results displayed on the map
- Full Montana Cadastral parcel data - no need to use the Cadastral map at the same time
- Google satellite and terrain base maps - the best imagery available
- Better performance on all devices, including phones and tablets

2. Modernized billing and account management
Subscriptions, payments, account settings, and profile management have all moved to a new, modern e-commerce backend. You’ll find a cleaner interface, more reliable processing, and a smoother experience for managing your account — whether you’re a Free Subscriber, Market Expert Subscriber or Property Advertiser. All paying Market Expert subscribers and Property Advertisers will need to update their credit card information. However, this can be done at your own convenience, and once completed will result in a far smoother and more secure user experience.

What’s not changing
Everything else. The Montana Land Report still arrives in your inbox each week. Market updates, news, videos, podcasts, and market statistics remain right where you expect them. Your existing subscription, login, and saved information will carry over to the new site automatically.
What you need to do
Nothing. Our goal is that on May 27th, mtlandsource.com will quietly transition to the new platform. Your account, subscription, and saved data will be waiting for you exactly as you left them.
If something doesn’t look right after launch, or you have questions in the meantime, please contact us — your feedback has shaped this release, and it will keep shaping what we build from here.
Thank you, as always, for supporting Montana Land Source.
